Crystal Zelman, LCSW, CCLS, RPT-S Crystal Zelman (she/her), owner and primary clinician for Morris County Play Therapy, is a Registered Play Therapist-Supervisor (RPT-S), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and aCertified Child Life Specialist (CCLS). Crystal graduated with her Masters in Social Work (MSW) in 2007. Crystal combines her experience, training, intuition, & client goals to create a tailored approach for each individual, working genuinely and collaboratively with clients to lead and guide their work together. Crystal utilizes a variety of playful healing modalities in her work with children & adults, such as play therapy, therapeutic art, sandtray therapy, EMDR, pet therapy, and traditional talk therapy. Crystal is an EMDR Certified Therapist, utilizing EMDR with adults and children, as well as offering play-based EMDR for children, drawing from over 50 additional training hours in playful EMDR (post basic training) as well as direct experience utilizing EMDR with children & families. Crystal has extensive experience supporting: children and young adults who are coping with their own (or a family member's) medical diagnosis/illness; those grieving the loss of a loved one; and individuals experiencing anxiety. Crystal facilitates workshops for professionals through both in-person & virtual continuing education opportunities. She also enjoys providing case consultation to other social workers working towards their play therapy (RPT) certification. Crystal is currently a Part-Time Lecturer at Rutgers University, teaching clinical social work classes to masters level students since 2015. Crystal previously worked in Early Intervention, supporting children ages birth to 3 with developmental delays & their families for 10+ years. She also worked for 9+ years with children who had a parent or other family member with cancer, supporting children's inner resilience & coping.
Natalia Olarte, LCSW, RPT Natalia Olarte (she/her) is a Bi-lingual, Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Registered Play Therapy, and clinician at Morris County Play Therapy. Natalia works with children, adolescents, and families applying a variety of clinical interventions to help them meet their goals. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Sociology with a minor in Social Work at the University of Saint Elizabeth and earned her Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) at Rutgers University’s School of Social Work. She has been supporting children, adolescents, and families for over a decade in various settings, since graduating with her MSW. Currently, Natalia is pursuing her RPT (Registered Play Therapist) credentialing.
Natalia believes the most important and healing aspect of therapy is the therapeutic relationship that is built between client and therapist. Natalia has a passion and background for working with individuals who have experienced trauma. Natalia focuses on educating, supporting, and using therapeutic techniques to help children and their families recover after a traumatic experience. Natalia also has many years of experience working with individuals with anxiety and depression. Natalia is Certified in TF-CBT (Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy). She also uses behavioral activation, stress management, and strength-based interventions, as well as working with caregivers and/or important others to collaborate for the needs of each client.
In Natalia's work with younger children, she uses child-centered approaches in the playroom to help and support children as they work through feelings, behaviors, and situations. Natalia also has training & experience applying Synergetic Play Therapy, harnessing the regulating effects of the nervous system through breath-work & other calming strategies. Gabriella Campana, LCSW, CSSW Gabriella Campana (she/her) is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Certified School Social Worker, and clinician at Morris County Play Therapy. Gabriella works with children, adolescents, young adults and families utilizing clinical methods tailored to meet their individual needs. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, with a minor in Human Development and Family Studies, at the University of Delaware. Gabriella earned her Master’s degree in Social Work at Columbia University’s School of Social Work.
Gabriella previously worked as a full-time School Social Worker for over 7 years, which helped flourish her passion for helping children and families navigate their school environment, advocating to appropriately meet students’ needs, and coaching parents in working together with their school district. At Morris County Play Therapy, Gabriella currently offers educational consultations for families interested in learning more about ways they can work together with their school district to support their child's needs.
Gabriella has worked for many years supporting individuals with anxiety, or anxiety related symptoms. Olivia Rivera, LCSW Olivia Rivera (she/her) is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and clinician at Morris County Play Therapy. Olivia works with children, adolescents, and families by meeting them where they are in life and utilizing various therapeutic interventions to meet their unique needs and goals. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Social work with a minor in Psychology at Messiah University and her Master’s degree in Social work at Rutgers University with areas of emphases in mental and behavioral health as well as children, youth, and families. Since earning her MSW, Olivia has worked with children ages 4-18 and their families to serve and support them while dealing with various challenges and life stressors.
Olivia is passionate about giving children and adolescents a space to be heard and understood, and understands that at any stage in their lives there are different challenges and opportunities for learning, growth, and goal achievement. She believes that mental health is just as important as physical health and that children and adolescents deserve the time and space to work through challenging thoughts, emotions, and situations. Olivia has experience working with children and adolescents who struggle with: symptoms of impulsivity/inattention; challenges connecting with others in positive ways; learning disabilities; anxiety; and depression. Olivia understands and feels passionate about the vital importance that families play in being part of the therapeutic process to help their child or adolescent.
